MSP Safety Manager

Responsible for coordinating activities associated with all aspects of the location's safety, security and compliance programs and processes.  Position reports to the location Director but also works closely with duty managers, supervisors, leads and front line employees to ensure safety, security and compliance programs are implemented and effective.

Specific Responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

  • Mentors managers and supervisors in identifying and correcting/reinforcing safe and unsafe behavior.
  • Schedules monthly safety meetings, creates agendas and supporting material, creates meeting minutes and posts and distributes minutes as required.
  • Performs regular safety observations of employee behavior.
  • Conducts cabin quality audits and provides periodic reports of results.
  • Maintains the locations hazard control log to ensure all open items are being addressed and closed on a timely basis.
  • Assists manager and supervisors in investigating and reporting incidents.
  • Conducts safety training and other work related training.
  • Maintains training documents and reports completion of training or status of training to location manager.
  • Stores OSHA Logs, Annual Summaries and Supplemental records provided by corporate.
  • Audits compliance with USC and OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Conducts periodic workplace inspections.
  • Liaisons with clients regarding safety, security and compliance matters.
  • Identifies safety, security and compliance topics to be covered in daily shift briefings.
  • Ensures required company and OSHA postings are posted.
  • Creates and/or maintains the local employee emergency action plan for all anticipated emergencies.
  • Maintains the locations Safety Data Sheets and Chemical Inventory List.
  • Manages the locations hazard reporting process for employees.


  • Training and experience in safety, security and compliance programs and processes.
  • High school graduate or GED.
  • 1 2 years supervisory or lead experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Good written/speaking communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good time management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Capacity to lift, bend, stoop, push & pull heavy loads.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
