Overview

Assist Housekeeping Manager/Executive Housekeeper with daily operations by maintaining overall cleanliness of hotel property, including guest rooms and public area.  Ensure guests are satisfied with cleanliness of room, respond to guest needs, ensure safety and security of rooms, maintain inventories and cost control.  Support recruitment efforts by selecting, training, maintaining, and managing a skilled team. Establish a professional atmosphere of superior guest service and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper scheduling daily for operational needs.
  • Maintain brand standards for both guest rooms and public areas, inspecting them to ensure all standards are met.
  • Train staff in all aspects of housekeeping, including guest service.
  • Check all VIP arrival rooms, ready prior to 3pm.
  • Check employee time punches.
  • Coach and counsel / Document employees.
  • Inspections of rooms and guest areas.
  • Communicate with hotel management needs.
  • Ensure all employees have all supplies needed to complete tasks.
  • Run pre-shift meetings, communicating daily events to staff.
  • Follow all safety procedures from Daily, weekly and monthly meetings.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.

Skills and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • 2 years of experience in hotel industry.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all employees, clients and vendors.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures and standards.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
